RULER is an evidence-based approach to social and emotional learning that is shown to improve social and emotional skills, academic performance, peer relationships, and school climate while decreasing bullying and aggression.
We’re excited to offer training at NO COST for eligible high schools in the U.S. as part of our trial of RULER for High Schools. Don’t miss this opportunity to bring these impactful emotional intelligence strategies to your school!
By participating in this randomized control trial of High School RULER, your school will receive:
Training in RULER for a school-based, five-person implementation team ($8,000 value) in a cohort of other high schools
Two years of in-depth implementation support including individual and group coaching sessions
Support with data collection that informs implementation
$1000 administrative stipend per year or $1000 compensation per year for those in the waitlist control condition
Complementary access to the annual RULER Implementation Conference
Study Activities
A team of 5 staff members will form the implementation team and attend RULER training and this team will return to school with the tools to begin school-wide implementation of RULER
RULER is then implemented at the school over 2 years, first with staff and then with students
Implementation teams attend monthly coaching sessions and quarterly networking sessions with other schools in the study
Schools administer student and staff surveys in the fall and spring
Note: Schools will be randomized into an experimental group and a control group. The control group will receive allthe same RULER training and implementation support two years after the experimental group.
