Are you eager to share your implementation successes with the wider RULER community? Since 2022, schools that have successfully integrated the RULER principles, skills, and tools into their school culture have been recognized as RULER Spotlights. We are now ready to welcome our next cohort.
Join a cohort of dedicated educators from across the globe working together to pave the way toward more emotionally intelligent communities through RULER.
What Defines a RULER Spotlight School?
A RULER Spotlight School:
- Leads by example, showcasing the impact of RULER implementation through data, anecdotes and artifacts
- Prioritizes staff development to create a school climate that exemplifies an “emotions matter” mindset
- Exhibits a growth mindset, actively seeking ways to build the emotional intelligence of staff, students, and families
- Provides guidance and best practices to other RULER schools

Why Aim for the Spotlight?
Being a RULER Spotlight offers a chance to:
- Celebrate and showcase your school’s dedication to emotional intelligence within your school community
- Collaborate with Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence
- Build a supportive cohort with fellow RULER Spotlight Schools
- Host a RULER Open House to showcase your school’s successes
- Share RULER strategies and best practices through Spotlight meetings, RULER webinars and newsletters, and more
- Receive a complimentary RULER Online subscription while actively participating as a RULER Spotlight
